Body Image Mastery - Does It Work?

Monday, March 30th, 2009

I could make the answer to that question very short with and simple: Yes!

It really works.

BUT this is NOT a Quick Fix.

It is NOT a miracle cure you drink or eat and Whoop! there you are, suddenly lost 30 pounds…
It doesn’t work that way and you know it. Forget about diet pills. Forget the low-fat scam! It’s not even neccessary to engage yourself in those fitness classes

The Body Image Mastery Course runs over 12 weeks. An intensive program to help you in your struggle with over weight. It’s not another diet - however it does involve learning to be aware of what you eat.

First, and most important, Laura Fenamore’s program helps you in the way you look upon yourself, how you can be comfortable with your oown body as it is. Because if you love yourself and your body, you are more likely to take care of your body, and making healthier decisions in life.

So the focus in the program is very different from most others. You will learn, not to stare yourself blind at losing that extra weight, but to completely change your perception of yourself.

Second, Laura Fenamore herself fought obesity twenty years ago, and won! And today she still haven’t regained that extra weight she was carrying around. I suppose, having achieved such a goal without help from anyone would would make you very confident when it comes to teaching others.

As Laura herself says: Losing weight must be initiated from the inside. It’s all in your attitude. And once you have the right mind everything else will follow.

Laura Fenamore’s Body Image Mastery program takes some time. But here’s what’s important: Once all those pounds are gone they will never be gained back.

Time has come for you to invest in what really matters Yourself!

Body Image Mastery - Loving What You See In The Mirror

They told me I had to start loving myself. And that I must realize that my body is perfect. I had to make myself love the the image that was looking at me from my mirror in the bathroom. No matter how I look, no matter how much I make my weighing scale scream, I was to say to myself: You look fantastic!

And all I wanted to say was: Are you out of your mind? Get out of here! I have a new diet to try, so don’t waste my time with your fiddle-faddle…

And so I was on my way back to my old habits. One weight loss program after another, an endless stream of diet pills that never worked. Videos en masse, and later DVD’s, sweating and working away a few pounds with an enormous effort, only to gain them back again - effortlessly.

Give me a dime for every pill and workout program I tried, and I could buy Miami Beach!

I reached the roadfork eventually. I was on the brink of giving up on myself. Every single pound I ever managed to lose, just came jumping back on me again. It just would not work. I was never going to be able to get my body look the way I wanted it to look.

And still, regardless of all the evidence that these “cures for obesity” never was going to work, I asked them why they think their method was going to help me, when nothing else did?

“It all starts with your attitude! Anything will work for you if you learn to love your body! You have to change the image of You!”

I was so full of resist and disbelief. What?  Body Image Mastery? Thinking myself thin - Is that what you’re saying?

“You need to take action, of course. But it doesn’t have to be so hard. And - is starts with the way you look upon yourself.

Finally they got through my barriers of resistance. I started to listen to what they had to say: “Attitude! Change the way you look at your body. That is the first step. Your body is perfect”

So it became sort of like my mantra. “I am a miracle. I am beautiful. There is absolutely no flaw whatsoever in the image of Me. My body is my home and I am so very very happy to live in it.”

Fact is, I liked this new mantra a lot more. My old “mantra” while lookin’ at the Monster In The Mirror used to be ” yak, you fat, ugly, lazy hag”

In spite of my earlier beliefs, there are happy endings. You can actually change your life forever. I could do it. And if I could, you must be darn right deaf, blind and dumb if you can’t too. The method, Body image mastery, really helped me see that loving what you see in the mirror, can make the magic happen.
